How to Add Color to Your Wedding Pallet {5 Tips & Ideas}

Posted by Katherine on January 18, 2012

When choosing your wedding colors, its easy to stay away from bright & bold colors because it may seem a bit challenging  to pull the whole look together.  You might want to stick with a more neutral pallet because its easier & less of a chance of you disliking your choices years later.  Well, we think you should be able to have a little bit of both!  Choosing a neutral pallet for the main colors of your wedding and adding pops of color in all the right places is a great way to get the best of both worlds.  Here are 5 places you can add color to give your wedding the personality & style you've always wanted!

1.The bouquet - Against your white dress, a colorful & cheery bouquet will brighten up your wedding photos & add some dimension.

2. Decor - By hanging colorful streamers, pom poms, or lanterns you are really adding a different feel to an otherwise plain color scheme.  These will be a point of interest for photographers & really catch the eye of all your guests.

3. Linens - Instead of choosing the black or white linens your venue offers, go to a fabric store & pick out a fun and funky fabric to make your own!

4. Bridal Shoes - This has been such a fun & unexpected trend for a while already & we still love it!  Wearing a bold color shoe under your bridal attire is another great photo op for your photographer & its an easy pop of color to your wardrobe.

5. Grooms Attire - Give your groom a colorful boost with a fun tie or bow tie to spruce up his tux.  Ties come in tons of colors these days & will give him an instant wedding makeover.

Using a few or all of these ideas will help give you the pop of color you are craving!
