Must Have Wedding Photos { Get the perfect shot! }

 Posted by Katherine on October 19, 2011

When it comes to wedding photos, we've seen them all.  From good ones to bad ones, and cheap ones to expensive ones..these are the only thing left from your wedding so its important to get good shots.  We put together a few that aren't just typical wedding shots.  These photos are meant to showcase your personality, your taste, and most important - your wedding!

Photos With Props - Having props such as bikes, balloons or signs is a great way to add personality to a photo.  Such a simple, everyday item can really bring a photo to life with some vibrant colors & interesting angles.  Think outside the box when taking your wedding photos, you will be glad you did!

Candid photos of your guests - For some reason, this is overlooked by many photographers.  For this reason, its important to sit down with your photographer ahead of the wedding & discuss the shots that are really important to you.  It's even better to have a second shooter so that none of your big moments are missed.  Having candid photos of your guests is great because you get to see what they were doing while you were busy with your duties as bride or groom.

Grooms Reaction - Another reason having a second shooter is great, is to capture reactions to the events happening.  An example of this is the grooms reaction to his bride walking down the aisle.  Many people are focused on the bride at this point and they miss the emotion of the groom.  When captured, this is one of the sweetest shots you'll get.

First "Look" - This is a great photo option for more traditional couples who choose not to see each other before the wedding.  Set it up with your photographer in advance & find a spot that will allow you to hold hands without coming face to face.

Generational Photos -Have some photos of your parents on their wedding day handy for this adorable shot.  This is a great keepsake for you & your parents and its something that will be cherished for the rest of your lives.
