There's a certain comfort in discovering ways to bring natural beauty into your wedding planning. I am always so inspired by earthy tones and mother nature's fine gifts, so it was no surprise that these perfectly polished and illustrated Stones by Sarah brought a smile to my face. After much experimenting and artful designing, Sarah finally mastered a sure way to delight guests on wedding days.
In 2008, Sarah found herself experiencing the downturn of the economy and had to witness her position as manager of Linens'N'Things turn sour due to the store closing in December. She was out of work with a baby in her belly, but she did, however, have a strong ambition and a wonderful man to help support her through difficult times.
In October of the following year, Sarah and her boyfriend got engaged, and that's when her inspiration of wedding planning and design began. She decided she wanted an earthy wedding, something natural and organic with a rustic and romantic look. Inspired by an article from Go Green Weddings, she started experimenting with rocks... when she could finally find them! After a few months of searching, she found a rock quarry and was immediately in rock heaven, dazzled by all their shapes and natural beauty. She experimented over the next few months with pens and markers, while mastering the art of decoupage, and soon had a simple rock transformed into a beautiful masterpiece.

Encouraged by her family and friends to start selling her new dazzling rocks, she created Stones by Sarah in April of 2010 and so far her feedback has been amazing! Her stones are used by brides and grooms from all around as table stones for garden weddings, favor stones saying 'thank you', and (my personal favorite) guest book stones - guests write little notes for the bride and groom to take home as keepsakes. She absolutely loves what she does and she plans to make many more precious stones in the years to come.
Thank you Sarah for sharing you incredible story with us. Keep up the beautiful work!

In our hi-tech age, this concept is just so basic, it is too cool. Bravo for Sarah.
